Does watching Glee make you want to get up and perform an elaborate dance number? Or does make you want to get cozy with Cory Monteith and Matthew Morrison? Either way, you'll relate to this hilarious new "Funny or Die" music video, in which Heather Morris and her Glee-loving pals (including, inexplicably, Modern Family's Sofia Vergara) break into a hip-hop ode to the show. Watch it below!
The song, of course, is a parody of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg's 1993 rap single "Nuthin' But a G Thang" -- although we have to wonder if anyone in the Glee cast is old enough to remember the original! (Chris Colfer, who plays Kurt, would have been three years old). It's fun to see the song re-invented by female rappers, including the always-fabulous Morris (who plays Britanny) and her real-life roommate Ashley Lendzion. And keep an eye out for all the Glee cameos: Matthew Morrison, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera (getting a lower-back tattoo of the cast!) and the only cast member who rivals Morris in the dancing department, Harry Shum Jr.
In other news to Gleek out over, Cory Monteith is the latest New Directions member to try and launch an independent music career. On Sunday, Monteith, 28, performed with his indie rock band Bonnie Dune for the first time in L.A. And his castmates came through for him: Mark Salling (who also is pursuing a music career on the side), Chord Overstreet, Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale all showed up at the Roxy to hear him play, along with Selena Gomez (who stars with him in the upcoming romantic comedy Monte Carlo). No word on whether they all joined together onstage for a rousing Journey song.
